Hopewell police jumped into action and rescued a man with disabilities from a house fire.
Fire crews were on the scene of a structure fire in the 3000 block of Pickett Street, and they found out a man was still inside.
Officers McCurry, Sciacca, Harvey, and Shapiro responded to the scene. Two of the officers searched for the man in the smoke-filled house. The man was found in the front room of the home and yelled that he was unable to move his legs.
The other two officers came in through the side of the house, and all four were able to lift the man to help him evacuate from the home.
The firefighters that responded to the scene credited the officers' quick actions in saving the man's life.
