(WWBT) - A study found that Virginia workers are often running late to work.
Staff lateness is costing Virginia's economy more than $400 million a year, according to a study conducted by Mattress Clarity.
The study also said the average worker in Virginia is about 7.2 minutes late, and each employee costs the economy $102 a year.
"Nationally, men are worse culprits than women when it comes to lateness, turning up, on average, 7.2 minutes late to work each week, while women were slightly better at 6.4 minutes late per week," said Mattress Clarity.
