(WWBT) -

Tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway are now sold out, but don't fret.

If you attend an open house, you can still register for the Value City $5,000 shopping spree. The open house will be held each weekend until June 10.

The 3,100-square-foot home in Moseley, right outside of Midlothian, was built by StyleCraft Homes. It features five bedrooms, a two-car garage, three full bathrooms, and a very spacious outdoor living area.

It is valued at $550,000.

Construction on the home started with a groundbreaking ceremony in December 2017.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held May 3 at the house when it was finally done.

By early January, a roof was already up on the home and in February, signs of a real home were really taking shape.

The drywall is also now finished in the home - donated by American Applicators.

"It's a tremendous feeling within to be able to help the young people that experience cancer, anything we can do to bring them back and prevent this or cure it. It's just a phenomenal feeling," said American Applicators partner John Hinkle.

Cabinets were up in the kitchen, tile was in one of the bathrooms, and some of the rooms were also painted.

In March, the construction dirt was gone and the home was getting ready for showtime.

And despite a late-season snowstorm on March 12, a floor signing event was held in anticipation of tickets going on sale.

Also in March, NBC12 staff visited the hospital to see first-hand how your donations are making a difference in children's lives.

Since 1962, St. Jude has treated childhood cancers and other diseases all while covering families' travel, lodging, and food expenses.

It does this through fundraisers like the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. One hundred percent of ticket sales went to the hospital to continue services.

"For example, in-house at the hospital, we have our own pharmacy, because most of the medicines that these kids need for their treatments are not off the shelf medicines. We have a school on campus to help kids keep up with their school work so that after their treatment, they're not so far behind," said St. Jude Mid-Atlantic Regional Director Reed Hartley.
