You still have a chance to give back this holiday season to people who aren’t used to getting gifts -- and might otherwise slip through the cracks.
The Children’s Home Society of Virginia still needs items for its "Wish List."
Donations help some children in foster care. They also help some teens, who just aged out of the foster care program.
Some of the gift requests are as simple as gift cards and shoes or a dresser.
"A lot of these kids are kids in both our foster care and in our 'Possibilites Project' -- a lot of times (they) haven’t had gifts for Christmas," said Bruin Richardson, chief development officer at Children’s Home Society of Virginia. "If we’re able to provide these to them, it really gives them a Christmas just like any other kid would have."
