(WWBT) -

In this Restaurant Report, a health inspector reported finding some roaches and drain flies in a popular pizza place in Henrico.

The report also says floors, walls, grills, the oven, the fryer, food racks, and refrigerators all needed cleaning.

The location is Ledo Pizza and Pasta at 4030 Gathering Place in West Broad Village in Short Pump.  It had six priority violations, one priority foundation, and eight core violations.

When we stopped by, we spoke with the manager by phone. He told us they immediately stepped up their pest control services and they have cleaned everything the inspector requested.

The report shows seven violations were fixed during the inspection, and the manager says the rest have all been fixed now.

Up next, China King at 1940 Sandy Hook Road in Goochland, which had three priority violations, three priority foundation, and two core violations, including that shrimp, chicken, and rice were not being kept the proper temperature, and the slicer and meat grinder were not clean.

The report shows one violation was corrected on the spot. When the inspector returned the next week, everything was corrected.

We gave our Hall of Fame Award to Caribbean Grill, a food truck you can find on 11th Street downtown near VCU Medical Center.

"The doctors come from surgery, or the nurses come from their shift and they're stressed out," said owner Philmore Moses. "So we try to make them smile or some corny joke or something."

Caribbean Grill has made a major comeback since 2010, when the catering business was destroyed by fire.  Moses says they owe their success to good customer service and making sure everything is done to health department standards.

"We put a lot of emphasis on safety and cleanliness, the customer comes first and very good service," said Moses.

Caribbean Grill has aced its last 10 health inspections in a row.
