RVA Parenting: Police offer driving class for new drivers on autism

(WWBT) - If you're on the spectrum, or the parent of a new child on the spectrum, this is a great opportunity for you or your child. Henrico police are working hard to help you prepare to be a safe driver.

Police will cover how to appropriately interact with law enforcement, teach how to avoid being pulled over, and what to do in case of an accident.

The event is December 20th, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Twin Hickory Library in the meeting room.

There will also be a chance to ask questions of police officers. It's a great program for new drivers, student drivers, and ASD parents. The program
is sponsored by SpectrumWise College Consulting and ASD in RVA Walk and Talk.
