The Stonebridge Shopping Center near Midlothian Turnpike and Chippenham Parkway is under new ownership.

S2 Capital Partners LLC purchased the 8.1-acre shopping center -- which includes Firestone, Krispy Kreme, Mattress Firm, Virginia ABC, Subway and Qdoba -- for $12 million.

Stonebridge Shopping Center -- which is shadow-anchored by Kroger Marketplace -- sits in the former Cloverleaf Mall space.

"We are excited about the opportunity to own such a great center as Stonebridge and look forward to expanding it to its full potential. We believe this center will become a real staple of the community," said Rob Seidel, president of S2 Capital Partners, in a news release.

S2 Capital Partners says the shopping center -- which is at 7000 Tim Price Way -- is 95 percent leased and there are plans to build an additional 15,600 square feet of retail space.
