HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - We first interviewed Sikkima Lucas the morning after her East End neighborhood was sprayed with bullets for the third time in a week.
This frightened mom and her children were desperate to get out, they'd lost so much. Now, a year later, a lot has changed and for the better.
Sikkima tells me, it's "like night and day." She is feeling hopeful and grateful to the local coordinator of a nationwide non-profit that reaches out to kids and their families through area schools.
