CHESTER, VA (WWBT) - Several times a week, mornings, evenings, rain, sleet or snow, Mike Stevens guides a room full of Chester seniors in the Chinese art of Tai Chi.
Mike accepts no money for his classes. He says he just loves sharing the health benefits and seeing the results in his students. He credits Tai Chi with helping him and other seniors improve their balance, grow in patience and enjoy a better quality of life.
Mike, who has MS, has dealt with numerous health challenges, including double hip replacement and triple bypass surgery. Students say it's amazing that having endured lots of trials and tribulations, Mike is kind, gentle and generous with others.
