RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Monacan's Megan Walker has been asked the same question since her high school career began, and she took nearly four years to figure out the answer. Thursday, she revealed it.
Walker will continue her career at Connecticut under legendary head coach Geno Auriemma, picking the Huskies over Texas and Notre Dame. It was a decision Walker called the toughest she's ever had to make.
The Monacan senior is ranked by ESPN as the top-ranked national recruit in the Class of 2017.
The list of accolades she takes with her to Storrs is exceptional: Gatorade Virginia Player of the Year, 4A State Player of the Year, spots on several national teams, and two time state champion, just to name a few.
The Chiefs begin the search for their third straight state championship on December 6.
