Mission Tomorrow is the Richmond area’s first interactive career exploration event for students. The event takes place on October 26, 27, & 28  at Richmond International Raceway and is in need of volunteers to help with the event!
The goal of mission tomorrow is to get students excited about their future and expose them to different career paths they can take. This will be done through an interactive series of activities and discussions with employers. Mission Tomorrow will encourage students to explore career interests and in-demand jobs from 100+ businesses in our region.
Students also will gain a better understanding of what it means to be prepared for a job and will learn about various career planning resources. They will also learn about career and technical education resources within their localities.
About 12,000 public school 8th graders in all eight localities within the region (Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Richmond and Powhatan) are expected to participate. Eighth grade is a critical year for students as they are deciding on coursework pathways for the remainder of their high school years and beyond.

It takes a lot of people to successfully guide 12,000 middle school students through the the experience. Mission Tomorrow needs volunteers to help make the event a success!

These are the times volunteers are needed:
October 26 - 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM - Setup
October 27 - 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM - Event Support
October 28 - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM - Event Support & Breakdown
