Saint Rafka's Choir from Lebanon presents concert in Glen Allen

Glen Allen church hosts Saint Rafka's Choir

GLEN ALLEN, VA (WWBT) - Saint Anthony Maronite Catholic Church is hosting a group of guests whose voices have gained international recognition.

Saint Rafka's Choir, one of the leading choirs in Lebanon, is in Central Virginia this week.

During their stay, the choir members will not only put on a special concert, but they will also give firsthand reports of the challenges Christians are now facing in the Middle East.

"Now, unfortunately, they are the daily targets of terrorist activities, bombings, and so on. Violent acts against them for no reason. Just because they are Christians," said Monsignor George Sebaali of Saint Anthony.

The choir is under the direction of Sister Marana Saad. She will present the conference on the "Challenges of the Christians in the Middle East" on Friday evening.

The choir will present a concert in Arabic, Syriac, and English on Saturday.
