RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A UCI bike race is coming to Virginia in 2017, but a location has not yet been determined, according to cyclingnews.com

The event, which is part of the UCI Americas Tour circuit, is being called the Commonwealth Cycling Classic and will be held Aug. 24-27. Officials with UCI have not confirmed where in Virginia the race will be held.

It was one of two new UCI events in the United States next year, with the other being added in Colorado.

The UCI return to the Commonwealth comes about two years after the UCI Road World Championships were held in Richmond.

That event brought cyclists and tourists from around the world to Central Virginia for a week in September 2015.
