Join us at the oldest and most authentic Oktoberfest celebration in Virginia.

Supported by the Gesangverein Virginia and the Deutscher Sportclub, the Richmond Oktoberfest combines a great party with the preservation of our German heritage.

Eat authentic German food, including German pastries and bread from Reinecker's Backerei in Macedonia, Ohio, and drink a variety of German & domestic beers and wines.

Dance to polkas, waltzes, American standards and German party music by our feature band, "Die Lustige Almdudler" from Rochester, New York, and our fine local bands, the Original Elbe Musikanten and the Sauerkraut Band, as well as folk dancing by the Hirschjäger Bavarian Dancers.

Sign up for the Men's or Women's Stein Hoisting Contest both Friday and Saturday nights and see if you can win a 3 liter German Bier Stein.

Don’t forget to witness the crowning of the new Oktoberfest Queen on Friday night at 8:00 PM.
Check out our Oktoberfest souvenir booth for all things German and our vendors for jewelry and other great shopping.

Everything combines to create Bavarian style "Gemütlichkeit"!New in 2016, we open at 3:00 in the afternoon on Saturday to accommodate the huge Saturday crowd.  Parents with young children may want to come on Saturday afternoon so the kids can participate in the afternoon Children's Parade, have their faces painted at the Kinder Korner, eat and be home in time for bed.
