RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - In this week's Restaurant Report, we came across violations ranging from to-go containers on top of rice inside a rice warmer, to foods sitting at the wrong temperatures.
The take-out containers were a problem at Mr. Wong's Restaurant at 2314 Hungary Road in Henrico.
The health inspector report says Wong's had three priority violations, plus one priority foundation and three core violations.
The inspector noted finding the take out containers stored on top of the rice inside the rice warmer. The report says food was also stored on the floor of the walk-in freezer. Some violations were corrected during the inspection.
When the inspector returned in three weeks, everything was fixed.
Up next is River City Diner Bellgrade at 11430 West Huguenot Road in Chesterfield, which had four priority violations, plus one core on its last health inspection report.
Among them, crab soup and macaroni and cheese were not being kept hot enough, and dressing, pancake mixture, and home fries were not being kept cold enough.
The report show violations were corrected during the inspection. They were completely fixed when the inspector went back two weeks later.
The Arby's slogan is, "We have the meats." But this Arby's at 10901 Midlothian Turnpike can also say, "We have the NBC12 Hall of Fame Award."
This Arby's location has earned perfect scores on four health inspections over the last two years.
