RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

State Police confirm that the police activity that shut down part of I-195 Tuesday night is connected to a shooting near a South Richmond middle school.

The left lanes of I-195 North and South were closed near Broad Street after police say a vehicle in connection to the shooting was pulled over.

They are not releasing any other information at this time, but a witness said three people were seen in handcuffs.
