GOOCHLAND, VA (WWBT) - One person was airlifted to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Goochland on Friday that injured five people, including three students from St. Gertrude.
The crash happened around 1:10 p.m. at the intersection of River Road and S. Lower Tuckahoe Road. The victim airlifted to VCU Medical Center is in unknown condition.
Five people were in the crash: two drivers with no passengers and a driver with two passengers in an SUV.
All the victims were transported to hospital, one by Medivac.
St. Gertrude confirms three students were involved in the crash, but they all have non-life-threatening injuries. The students were taken to a local hospital where they were examined and later released.
The person airlifted was not one of the students.
Investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol in the crash. The road is back open. No charges have been filed at this time.
