Richmond Spiders schedule for men's basketball released

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The University of Richmond men's basketball head coach Chris Mooney has announced the 2016-17 schedule for the Spiders.

The spiders face a tough schedule this year - 15 of their games will be against opponents who advanced to the postseason last year, including games against Maryland and Kansas State/Boston College.

"Year in and year out, we strive to put together a strong and challenging schedule," Mooney said. "This season is no exception. We play a number of high-profile teams out of conference and continue to foster our strong in-state rivalries. The Atlantic 10 slate will once again provide a tremendous opportunity for resume-building wins and exciting, competitive games."

The Spiders will have 16 home games this year, including games against Wake Forest and Texas Tech. Their first game at the Robins Center will be against VMI on Friday, Nov. 11.

Season tickets are available for the 16 home games. Call 1-877-SPIDER-1 or click here to register online.
