OCRACOKE, N.C. (WWBT) -

A mandatory evacuation order is in place for Ocracoke Island in North Carolina ahead of Hurricane Hermine, according to WAVY.

Officials are worried that the rising water levels will prevent ferries from using the loading docks, so they are ordering visitors to leave the island.
