RIO DE JANEIRO (WWBT) -

Casey Eichfeld's love of canoeing began on the James River as a child in Richmond, now he's hoping it will lead him to gold in Rio.

Eichfeld finished in seventh-place in the men's canoe single slalom final on Tuesday, but now will have another shot at a medal in the men's canoe double. He and Devin McEwan finished in tenth in the preliminaries to make the semifinal at 11:30 a.m. ET. Highlights will be on NBC12 between 2:30 and 5 p.m.

Simone Biles could become the fourth consecutive American woman to win the all-around Olympic gymnastics title on Thursday.

Biles is heavily favored in the event which begins at 3 p.m. ET. Highlights will air during primetime coverage on NBC12.

Michael Phelps will aim to outswim Ryan Locate n the men’s 200m IM final and win a record 22nd gold at 10 p.m. live on NBC12. A Phelps gold would make him the first swimmer to win the same individual event four times.
