Team USA narrowly misses podium in Men's 400m Freestyle

RIO DE JANEIRO (WWBT) -

In a gold medal race decided by just over a tenth of a second, it was Australia & Mack Horton narrowly besting China's Sun Yang in Saturday evening's Men's 400m Freestyle. 

Team USA just missed the podium in Rio as Americans Conor Dwyer and Connor Jaeger finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

The full results from Olympic Aquatics Stadium are as follows:

  2. Sun Yang - China: 3:41.68
  3. Gabriele Detti - Italy: 3:43.49
  4. Conor Dwyer - United States: 3:44.01

  7. David McKeon - Australia: 3:45.28
