VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA (WWBT) -

An argument between a homeless woman and her boyfriend took a violent turn after investigators said she set the man on fire.

According to NBC South Florida, the Volusia Sheriff's Office said 41-year-old Annie Harper drenched her boyfriend's shorts with lighter fluid and then set him on fire.

The victim told deputies that they got in an argument and she was mad at him for not giving her drugs.

The whole thing took place at a homeless camp in the woods outside the community of DeLand.

NBC South Florida reported that Harper is charged with aggravated battery. A second battery charge was added after a witness said they saw Harper kick the man as he was lying on the ground naked.

The victim was treated at a Daytona Beach hospital and later transferred to a burn unit for treatment.
