Man fighting for life after being shot multiple times in Church Hill

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A second shooting, less than an hour after gunfire rang out in South Richmond at Midlothian Village Apartments, has called Richmond Police into action and prompted a search for the suspect who left a man with life-threatening injuries in Church Hill.

According to officers on the scene, a call came in at 8:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of North 33rd Street for a call of shots fired. 

When police arrived, they found a male in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what police said were life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released a suspect description in the shooting, but they do ask anyone who may have information that can help investigators to call Richmond-Henrico Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
