RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Fire and EMS' river rescue crews were called into action late Sunday afternoon after a man became stuck in the mud along the James River near Hollywood Cemetery.
Crews were called to the scene near Oregon Hill just before 7:30 p.m., with rescuers arriving on scene in minutes.
Boats were launched and they were able to garner a visual on the man and, using a combination of water rescue units and Med Flight, they were able to get him back to dry land about an hour after the initial call came in.
