IRVINE, CA (WWBT) - A touching story of humility and kindness as a young eight-year-old girl is helping those in need by making handbags and filling them with essentials that we can take for granted on a daily basis.
Khloe Thompson created "Kare Bags," which are made and designed by Khloe and her grandmother for the purpose of giving them to homeless women in her California community filled with items like soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and other projects.
"Instead of giving them these items in a large plastic bag, Khloe thought every woman should have a nice, sturdy bag to put their stuff in," their website reads.
For their family, even at 8-years-old, she is proving her age is not stopping her from making an impact on the world she lives in.
"Khloe believes that she can help the world by giving to others, being a positive kid and shining the light that God gave her," their website, Khloe Kares, says.
In a post on their website, the young girl said she believes every bag made is "blessed with her love."
"No dream is too small or too big," Khloe said in a post on a gofundme page set up for "Khloe Kares." "I want to inspire other kids to be great and to make their mark on this Earth."
The group has raised over $12,000 for her projects, which, according to their website, will be a toy drive that will "supply barbies and trucks to kids who are in group homes."
