CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - There are both positive and negative images and messages on the Internet. One Chesterfield woman is adding to the "positive" through her new website, which she hopes will encourage more people to aim for success.
"Ever since the age of nine, I've had big dreams of doing a lot of things," said Dr. Michelle Caple Taylor.
Fortunately, for Dr. Taylor, many of those dreams have come true.
She is a mother of two, a minister, and even a best-selling author.
"I have six books. One bestseller, 'Troubles Won't Last Always,'" said Dr. Taylor.
It was after the success of that book that she came up with another idea. However, this one included filling the pages of a website instead of a book.
"I realized that there was a big gap between celebrities and everyday working people. So, that's when I came up with the idea to do 'Spotlight on Succezz.' I think that websites should inspire people," said Dr. Taylor.
Inspire people is exactly what 'Spotlight on Succezz' does.
"It was created to empower people to walk in purpose," said Dr. Taylor.
Helping others to fulfill their purpose is Dr. Taylor's main purpose. So, she interviews local and national celebrities and posts the videos on her website called 'Spotlight on Succezz.'
You will notice success is spelled with two Z's.
"It is a continuous success thing for me. I want it to run on 'zzzz' you know, like it keeps on going," said Dr. Taylor.
She gets the inside scoop from these celebrities on their success and how they achieved it. She also shows her readers that the road to success is not always easy.
"Sometimes you're going to find yourself in a valley low, but you don't want to give up because if that's God's ordained purpose, God is going to bring you back to the place you want to be," said Dr. Taylor.
She wants this website to uplift people, showing that if these people can do it, so can you. You just have to take that first step and stick with it.
"You have a goal, pursue that goal because whatever that burning passion is on the inside of you, that's what God gave us to do," said Dr. Taylor.
Dr. Taylor is currently working on part two of her book, "Troubles Won't Last Always."
