Is the veto pen running out of ink? In this week's Politifact, Kirk Cox of Colonial Heights says Governor McAuliffe has vetoed more bills than the past three governors did in their terms.
Well PolitiFact indeed rates that as 100 percent true.
Former Governor Bob McDonnell, for example, rejected 20 bills. McAuliffe far surpasses that, so far.
"McAuliffe in his first few years has vetoed 58 pieces of legislation. That is indeed more than any of the three previous governors," said Richmond Times-Dispatch Reporter Sean Gorman.
Important to note though, that isn't a historically high number.
Republicans Jim Gilmore and George Allen, issued 90 and 84 vetoes, respectively, during their full terms.
