RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Metropolitan Business League has named Sharon Dabney-Wooldridge as interim president.
Dabney-Wooldridge has served as chairman of the Board of Directors for two years. She is filling the position after former President Oliver Singleton passed away after serving for 13 years.
"I am honored to be in this position, and I will work hard to make Oliver proud," said Dabney-Wooldridge. "He worked tirelessly for small businesses, and he did wonders for my business, The Kleane Kare Team, Inc. As I step into this position, I am looking forward to working with the members of the Metropolitan Business League."
Dabney-Wooldridge has been a member of the MBL for 15 years and has owned her business for 30 years.
"It is my belief that my job will be to carry on this legacy of being there for small and growing businesses," said Dabney-Wooldridge. "The MBL will continue to move forward, and together, we will grow the MBL to bring new direction to Richmond and the surrounding communities."
