PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) -

Petersburg Police are investigating after a man died from what appears to be injuries caused by a vehicle accident.

Police say 55-year-old Ross Epps, Jr. was found shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Youngs Road, near the intersection of S. Halcun Drive and Dinwiddie Court. He died from his injuries.

When officials were on the scene, they found pieces of a right front marker lens, but there were no witnesses around. Police say the lens came from a 1995 to 2005 Chevy Astro Van. They say the suspect vehicle may also be missing the AM/FM antenna.

Police are now looking for the driver in the accident. No other details are available at this time.
