UVA fans drive down to Raleigh to support their team

RALEIGH, NC (WWBT) - Crews checked out the head basketball coach for UVA after a medical emergency at the NCAA tournament game on Thursday.

Coach Tony Bennett collapsed on the sideline during the team's first-round game just before halftime.

"I think I crouched down, was a little dehydrated, but I'm OK, said Bennett. "I blacked out, but I'm OK."

Coach Bennett was helped into the locker room, where he received medical attention. He was able to return to the court for the second half.

The UVA Cavaliers went on to beat the Hampton Pirates 81-45 to start their NCAA Men's basketball tournament run.
