TOLEDO, OH (WTOL/WWBT) - The Better Business Bureau is warning you about asset recovery scams so you don't become a victim. Experts say con-artists are becoming more sneaky by scamming you more than once.
"Whoever has cheated you, knows you're a victim and whatever the scam was, most typically it's winning prizes. Most typically that is the one that they come after you for," Dick Eppstein with the Better Business Bureau told WTOL.
According to Eppstein, after the first scam, you'll receive a call from someone claiming to be with the Federal Trade Commission, IRS or Postal Inspector to recover your money.
