LOUISA, VA (WWBT) - A Louisa couple found dead Sunday in a murder-suicide had only been married about a year, according to investigators.
Louisa sheriffs believe Charles Waldon Wilson shot and killed his recent bride Stacey Ann Bowers, then shot and killed himself.
Bowers was supposed to watch her grandchildren on Sunday, investigators said. A relative called her around 8:15 a.m. asking her to babysit the children and she agreed, but when the family member arrived around 45 minutes later to drop off the children at the home on Wild Turkey Drive she found the couple dead.
Investigators say Bowers had not formally changed her name. There was no indication of any problems with the couple before the murder-suicide.
The bodies have now been taken to the Medical Examiners Office in Richmond.
The sheriff's office is still investigating.
