WILLIAMSBURG, VA (WWBT) - An 8-year-old boy who went missing in Williamsburg has been found safe.
Police spent much of Monday searching for Zeb Gross after he was reported missing around 7:45 a.m. Around 3 p.m. Williamsburg Fire officials say the boy was found safe in the crawlspace under the home in the 200 block of John Pinckney Lane.
The cold weather had raised concerns for emergency crews. Williamsburg police, State Police, fire crews, even a helicopter and K-9 units searched the area.
Family members said Zeb was in the home when they checked at 2 a.m. but disappeared sometime before 7 a.m. They checked throughout the house but could not find the boy.
It's not clear why the boy was in the crawlspace.
