RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond police have identified the victim of a homicide that happened in the city's Northside Wednesday morning.

36-year-old Djan Robinson was found lying in the roadway suffering for an apparent gunshot wound in the 1000 block of Highland View Avenue, near Veranda and Groveland avenues, around 6:12 a.m. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the death is suspicious and have not ruled out foul play. The Medical Examiner is working to determine how the man died. Police are still investigating and are working to find the suspect in the shooting.
