RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The roads may be clear right now, but parking lots will be a different matter as last-minute shoppers flood the stores to finish checking off their Christmas list this week.
The final Saturday before Christmas is behind us - and like last year, it was the busiest shopping day of the season. Retail experts are again expecting deep discounts over the next few days at brick-and-mortar stores.
If the thought of fighting the crowds makes you anxious, you may have to fight through it - it might be too late to get those gifts online.
"You're definitely out of luck in terms of getting it there in time without paying those heavy, expedited, shipping fees," said Rebekah George with retailmenot.com.
Surveys show most people prefer to do last minute shopping in-store anyway. A survey finds 92 percent of those polled still have last minute shopping to do.
