CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

A Chesterfield school bus was involved in an accident with another vehicle on Friday. This is the second bus accident in as many days.

The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. at Whitepine and Belmont. Police say a van attempted to make a left turn at Belmont Road and pulled in front of the bus. The bus then struck the van.

No children were on the bus at the time of the accident. The driver of the van and a juvenile were taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have issued a summons to the driver of the van for failure to yield the right of way.

A school bus was involved in an accident on Thursday as well at Kingsland Road and Salem Church Road, not far from 288 and Route 10. According to Chesterfield Police, the car hit the bus.
