HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico Fire crews are on the scene where a catering tent behind an event stage caught fire in the Innsbrook After Hours area.
Crews are near the intersection of Nuckols and Sadler roads, around the 4800 block of Lake Brooke Drive. An NBC12 viewer reported sent in a picture of a plume of black smoke in the area. Crews were able to contain the fire.
The catering tent behind the stage is normally used when there are shows and concerts. However, there are no scheduled events for Wednesday night.
No one was at the tent at the time, and the fire caused minimal damage, according to the Innsbrook After Hours executive director. Fire crews had to open a fence to get to the catering tent.
The Innsbrook After Hours executive director says they were alerted by people who saw the smoke. Also, the people who called 911 were working around the area. People told crews they heard explosions. However, there was no indication of a gas or propane explosion, according to Henrico Fire.
No injuries have been reported.
Henrico Fire is still on scene cleaning up the damage.
NBC12 has a crew headed to the scene and will update on-air and online.
