Since you're digesting your Thanksgiving meal, we didn't want to show you critical violations in tonight's Restaurant Report. Instead we're introducing you to this week's Hall of Fame winner, and letting you know a previous winner is back in business after an accident.
Pegasus restaurant has been in business for more than 18 years, carrying on the Hatzimanolis' family tradition that started back in Greece.
"My dad's very hands on and that's really important I think," said Sophia Hatzimanolis.
"It's how I grew up so we just continue doing the same thing I was doing when I was 15-years-old," said Michael Hatzimanolis.
Located at 5604 Patterson Avenue in Richmond, Pegasus serves up traditional Mediterranean Greek and Italian cuisine.
"We have veal, lamb, a lot of our veal entrees people really love, veal artichokes, veal Marsala," Sophia told us.
And they've been acing many of their health inspections over the last two years.
"It's the most important thing to be clean, top to bottom clean, and our foods always fresh," she explained.
Coco Bans wants to thank their loyal patrons for their patience and support after an accident. Owner Dionne Bazile said she took a u-turn too tight and the cart tipped over.
Bazile told us, "It was devastating. I'm lucky the damage was minimal. It's my livelihood, so I needed to get back out there."
But after a couple weeks, they're back in business now.
"We have some slight damage to the door there and some up here and a good friend of mine, another food truck owner got up back up and running for us," Bazile showed us.
