RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

All lanes are back open after a tractor-trailer crash on I-95S near mm 72, south of Maury Street.

State Police say the crash happened around 7:15 a.m. when the driver ran off the road, struck the left barrier wall, then overturned, blocking all three lanes of I-95 South.

At one point, traffic was backed up about 8 miles.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Orlando Baxter, 34, was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. He has been charged with reckless driving.

Police believe fatigue caused the crash. The truck was carrying box freight, and there was no hazmat spill from the crash.
