A worker called the Richmond Times-Dispatch Production Plant in Hanover threatening to shoot a co-worker on Thursday, according to a source close to the situation.

Hanover sheriffs and officials at the newspaper confirm a threat was called in, but wouldn't elaborate on the nature of the phone call. The Times-Dispatch released the following statement.

"A manager at the Richmond Times-Dispatch Hanover Production Plant called the Hanover sheriff's office today after the business received a phone threat. Hanover sheriffs have responded to help us ensure the safety of our associates. At no time was there an evacuation or were workers asked to leave the plant. There has been no disruption to our operations."

An NBC12 crew reports several sheriff units on-scene, but says business is continuing as usual and no lockdown is in place, according to sheriffs.
