(WWBT) - When a 9-year-old boy decided to join Central Chesterfield Little League, his parents had no idea the impact it would have on the entire family.
Days before his mother underwent cancer surgery, family, neighbors and league parents and children held a walk-a-thon to raise money to help the family with bills and groceries. They all donned pink t-shirts with "Michelle's March" and the words, "Family, Faith and Hope." However, the Three Little League Moms decided to do more.
They nominated Michelle for our "Acts Of Kindness" recognition. They say, despite all her pain and struggle, she continues to be an inspiration to others who are facing challenges.
