2 killed in separate Petersburg shootings in less than 12 hours - NBC12 - WWBT - Richmond, VA News On Your Side

Petersburg police are investigating two separate deadly shootings which took place between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

Frank White, 22, was found shot several times outside the American Choice Deli at the corner of Dunlop and Washington streets around 4:39 p.m. Thursday, according to police. White was taken to Southside Regional Medical Center where he died six hours later, police said. The shooter was last seen running down Hinton Street. No description is available at this time.

The second deadly shooting came overnight. Police came to Southside Regional Medical Center around 3:15 a.m. for reports of a person shot. Neil Lewis, 24, showed up at the hospital with a single gunshot wound and died within five minutes of officers arriving. Police believe he was driven from a location on Custer Street.

Police are still actively investigating both cases and say no arrests have been made.
