CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

"I found that I could not just toss it away, but had to find a family member to send it to."

Thomas Price is reading from a letter he received at his Chesterfield County home a month ago. The letter came from a homeowner in Fayetteville, North Carolina, who found a commemorative bracelet for fallen First Lieutenant Timothy E. Price.

The homeowner's mission was to get the bracelet back to Lieutenant Price's family, but his letter reached the wrong Price household.

But Thomas Price says he's hoping to complete this mission, so he reached out to us.

"I really, really hope this works," Price said.

He's calling on everyone to help find the "Price" family and bring the bracelet home.

"I didn't meet him, but I would call him a friend."

A veteran himself, Thomas knows what it means for a soldier to give the ultimate sacrifice. He was touched by the stranger's letter.

The inscription on the bracelet says Lieutenant Price was killed in action September 7th, 2004 while in Baghdad. Thomas Price is holding on to hope that this bracelet will soon find its way home.

"I'm not going to give up," Price said.

If you happen to know the Price family or who this bracelet belongs to, you can call Thomas Price at 804-744-0799 (Home), 804-314-6132 (Cell)
