Police have charged the driver of an SUV after an accident involving a tractor-trailer on I-295 South in Henrico early Monday morning.
The crash happened around 5:49 a.m. at mile marker 29, north of I-64. Police say an SUV swerved to avoid a construction barrel in the road, and changed lanes into the path of the tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer, carrying 15,000 pounds of potato chips, jack-knifed and overturned.
Police originally said there were injuries, but later said no one was injured in the crash.
The driver of the SUV has been charged with making an unsafe lane change.
