RVA Parenting: When is it time to let the pacifier go?

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Paci patrol! Did you see this viral discussion yet? It's all surrounding whether soccer star David Beckham's 4-year-old daughter should be using a pacifier. A news story featured experts who said the child could end up with speech or dental issues if she kept using the pacifier.

Beckham is now firing back after critics say his kid should have given up that binky.

He says, "Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts? Everybody who has children knows that when they aren't feeling well or have a fever, you do what comforts them best and most of the time it's a pacifier. So those who criticize, think twice about what you say about other people's children, because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent."

So what do you think?  Are you team Beckham?  Or is it time to let the pacifier go? And do the circumstances matter?
