Suspect pleads guilty in Hopewell taxi driver murder

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - A suspect in the murder of a Hopewell veteran and taxi driver has plead guilty.

20-year-old Dyshawn Simpson will spend life in prison for the death of James Wells. Simpson faced capital murder, but he accepted a plea deal for first degree murder.

The second suspect, 19-year-old Alisa Dejesus, also faces charges. She will go on trial in December.
