RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Houston Texans joined the Washington Redskins at training camp in Richmond on Thursday, with HBO's Hard Knocks crew in tow.
The joint practice sessions are free and open to the public and could provide a boost in attendance for a training camp which has seen smaller turnout than years past.
According to the Redskins, last season, more than 60,000 fans visited the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center during three days of the Redskins' joint practices with the New England Patriots.
The morning practice was busy and a walkthrough is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. Practices are scheduled for Friday from 8:35 a.m. to 11:35 a.m. and Saturday from 10:35 a.m. to 1 p.m. A scheduled Friday walkthrough has been cancelled.
The teams do not meet in the regular season.
