RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

All lanes of Interstate 95 South are back open, but drivers in the area can expect residual delays through the remainder of rush hour.

Traffic was shut down for a time following a crash near the James River bridge (mile marker 74). By 5:45 p.m., the accident scene was cleared and all lanes were reopened.

With the afternoon rush hour traffic, a backup quickly grew to six miles in length. Motorists can expect it to remain slow-going for a while.

The accident involved a mini-van and a sedan. No word on any injuries at this time.
