Illusions Night Club in the Richmond Inn and Suites at 6346 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond usually scores well on health inspections. but this time it had six critical violations, plus nine non-critical. Among them, the report says staff were eating in the food prep area. That and other violations were corrected during the inspection.

In Chesterfield, The Box Afghan Kabob House at 8211 Hull Street Road had four critical violations. The report says that the facility was in need of thorough cleaning. When the inspector returned two weeks later, all critical violations were corrected and the report says cleanliness had improved.

Also in Chesterfield, Brew at 11400 West Huguenot Road had four critical violations, including crab cakes, shrimp and steak skewers, and partially cooked French fries not being kept cold enough. The inspector told them to throw the food out. Other violations were corrected while the inspector was still on site.
