Police name victim killed in Laburnum Ave. crash

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

Henrico police released the name of a man killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night.

Andrew Vansickle, 29, of Sandston died in the crash around 8:49 p.m. Thursday on Laburnum Avenue at Kings Ridge Parkway, according to police. Vansickle was driving a van leaving an apartment complex in the area, when a man driving north on Laburnum switched from the right to left lane. The car hit the driver-side door and front of the van, police said. 

Vansickle was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected when his van rolled over. He died at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation is on-going at this time and charges are pending further investigation.
